The breakdown:
We are currently looking for a seasonal in-house designer to start September/October 2023.
In this role you will be responsible for the creative execution of a variety of projects including digital, print and retail design. You will be responsible for adapting and applying seasonal designs in line with Burton's global brand direction, style guides and voice. You will support the Creative Project Manager and Producer to ensure a brand-compliant identity on each project, as well as liaising with external creative service providers. In addition, you will develop creative solutions for Burton European specific requests, assist with shoots or events.
What you will do:
- Create and adapt digital and print files of all types, such as campaigns, splash pages, presentations, retail, internal communications, newsletters and marketing materials.
- Obtain input from managers to ensure designs meet brand standards and expectations.
- Work both independently and collaboratively with the marketing team and other stakeholders.
- Translate strategic direction into high quality design within an established brand identity.
- Ensure projects are completed on time with quality
- Advise on best practice and optimization throughout design projects
- Assist the producer in coordinating with external agencies, freelancers, vendors, etc. to complete projects.
- Degree with a focus on design or related fields
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a graphic design role
- A strong portfolio demonstrating skills in graphic design, typography & layout and illustration.
- Creative and energetic team player with a passion for working with a wide range of stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Fluent in English, additional language skills a plus
- Video editing skills a plus
